By 2025, Access Oxygen confirms its impact on the ground in low and middle-income countries
The year 2025 marks a turning point in Access Oxygen’s commitment to building sustainable medical oxygen access across Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). Driven by new strategic partnerships and a stronger local presence—including the opening of 53 additional health posts in Mali and South Africa—we continue to take action to save lives where the need is most critical.
Rwanda: Research and innovation, focused on patients
This year in Rwanda, our field qualification phase was launched alongside an in-depth medical research study. This scientific approach allows us to measure our impact more accurately and ensure that every installation is tailored to local clinical realities.
Mali: A vital and proven impact
One year after launching our facilities in the Kita and Bla districts, the results in Mali are clear: medical oxygen was a vital necessity. Field reports confirm that many patients have already benefited from this service, nearly three-quarters of whom are children. This success validates our intervention model and strengthens our resolve to support Malian healthcare facilities.
South Africa: Sustainable growth
Lastly, active in South Africa since 2021, the program continues its expansion alongside VitalAire and our partner, Unjani Clinics. By consolidating our progress and growing our network, we are strengthening the local healthcare ecosystem every day, proving that oxygen access can be both sustainable and scalable.
